Wanted Suspects Arrested Just Inside Ritchie county After a week Long Man-Hunt

The Ritchie County Sheriff’s Department in collaboration with the West Virginia State Police, the Wirt county Sheriff’s department and the Parkersburg police have arrested two suspects; Victor Lee Thompson, aged 43 was wanted for allegations of murder in Parkersburg for which investigations have been ongoing and his girlfriend Kierston Holbrooks-Mick was declared wanted for criminal activities carried out in Ohio. 

The Suspects were reportedly hiding out a man-hunt for them which had been ongoing for a week. They had taken up residence in a cabin located inside Ritchie County, the owners of the county had been away and when they were accosted by persons visiting the homeowner, they informed these persons that they had permission to be there and sent the visitors away. The police were informed and showed up at the cabin to discover evidence that the two persons were in fact the wanted suspects. A search for the suspects was conducted around the area and after a couple of hours, the two suspects were found hidden in a trailer in McFarland lane of Ritchie county and were apprehended without any incident and taken back to Parkersburg. 

Victor Lee Thompson is alleged to have assaulted a lady in a Parkersburg residential area, thereafter, he shot and killed Darren Jimmie Salaam, a 36-year-old male from Ohio. The incident occurred on May 30th, 2021 and the suspect had been on the run until his arrest on June 6th, 2021 by the numerous law enforcement agencies on his trail.
