Ritchie County Man Faces Manslaughter

Timothy Lee Mullinex, a Ritchie county man aged 46 years has been charged with felony malicious assault and misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter, he allegedly was involved in beating a man William Ledon Lacher, age 66 years in September of 2020, the man later died in March of 2021 due to brain injuries allegedly sustained by the beatings he received at the hands of Mr. Mullinex.

The charge of malicious assault was occasioned when the defendant hit the deceased on his face, the injury resulted in severe blood loss for the deceased and he had to undergo a series of brain surgery which he never survived, he insists that the attack was done with his fist. The arraignment was held on 16th September, 2021.

Furthermore, Darius Henning from Clarksburg also got an indictment, he was charged with malicious assault and being in possession of firearm as a prohibited person, he was alleged to have shot another person in the back by Detective Lt. Jason Webber. 

Others who faced indictment include: Roddrus Clay jr. a 32 year old Clarksburg resident who was charged with six counts of endangerment with firearm and also he was a prohibited person who was in possession of a gun. The defendant was alleged to have shot six times at a vehicle that had persons inside it. Franklin Keith Dotson was handed a charge of sexual assault of the 2nd degree, for a crime he committed while he was nearing the end of his term at a federal prison. Cynthia Kay Hall and Gregory Wayne Hannah were both charged with assault carried out while committing a felony or while attemtpting to commit a felony, they were also charged with first degree robbery and larceny.
