R.E.A.C.T. is formed under the direction of the Ritchie County Sheriff’s Office and is an acronym for Ritchie Eradication and Crisis Response Team. This team is formed by members of the Sheriff’s Office, State Police Office, Harrisville and Pennsboro Police Departments, Department of Natural Resources, State Park, and the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The team’s primary function is to work on eradication of drugs from Ritchie County by information sharing and working together on investigations. Also, we conduct training scenarios of crisis situations to be able to function more professionally as a team and resolve situations.
